What to try
- For a number series, check the gaps between terms first, then look for a constant multiplier, squares, or two series woven together.
- For mechanics, write the formula before the numbers: moment = force x distance, pressure = force / area, work = force x distance.
- Read the explanation after every answer, including the ones you got right.
Practice tip
Do not leave an answer blank. If you are stuck, remove the options that break the pattern or the units, then choose from what is left.
