Solar System & Time11 cardsWhat to try
- Drag the UTC slider or press Run the day to watch the night side sweep across the map.
- Pick Delhi and see the gap between local mean time and Indian Standard Time.
- Set the date to the June solstice and look at the twilight bands near the poles.
- Switch to Convert it yourself and answer a few UTC and LMT questions.
Exam point
LMT = UTC + longitude x 4 minutes (east plus, west minus). Zone time is a legal time based on a standard meridian, so it is not the same as LMT. India uses UTC+5:30, from the 82.5 degree east meridian.
